Ltd. is once again accepting applications from interested persons whom wish to enter the exciting field of Outdoor fireworks, Indoor Theatrical fireworks Acquire the knowledge, skills and competence required to obtain a Pyrotechnicians License. Newly structured courses Having extensive experience gained from many years of direct involvement with all types of Fireworks/Pyrotechnic Theatrical Fireworks / Film - T.V. and explosive based special effects Mr. Lewis has been presenting and lecturing these courses since Many past students are now enjoying successful careers in Australia and overseas, associated with and involved Courses shall be conducted over 10 consecutive weeks (every Tuesday night) between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Course content includes: · Legal requirements and regulations (for the State of Victoria). · Safety procedures. · Types of Pyrotechnics/Fireworks and the effects which they produce. · Transportation, Handling & Storage. · Methods employed for the ignition of Theatrical effects and Fireworks. · Procedures for dealing with misfires & fault finding. · Planning and implementation of fireworks and effects. · Conditions, Limitations & Restrictions on Pyrotechnicians. · Airotechnics / Streamer Effects / Cascades and other special effects. All Students shall have the opportunity of attending and participating in displays Participants shall learn to prepare, apply and fire only fireworks and pyrotechnic effects that are permitted by law in the
On completion of the course, participants will receive a validated certificate of "Attendance" issued by Firetechnics (Australia) showing VWCA approval number and which may be used for an application to obtain a license under Regulation 809 (2) (a).
Application must be made direct to the VWCA to obtain a pyrotechnicians license. Objectives
The objectives of the course are - (a) to provide for the safety of people and property in relation to the storage, sale, transport, use of explosives; and (b) to provide for the establishment and implementation of safety management in the workplace; and (c) to prohibit the misuse of explosives; and (d) to demonstrate the management and control in the use of indoor/outdoor fireworks/crackers; and (e) to demonstrate the effects that are created by a range of various products which are legal in the state of (f) to obtain recognition of competency and ability of all persons completing the course by relevant authorities in the state of (g) to develop a group of skilled, legally licensed, competent, creative and universally recognized Pyrotechnicians.
